This awesome specimen contains super bright willemite,some calcite, and franklinite.
Willemite: pinkish/grey under daylight, fluoresces neon green under SW/LW UV light.
Calcite: white under daylight, fluoresces neon orange under SW/LW UV light.
Franklinite: black under daylight, non fluorescing under UV light.

The atomic structure of this mineral reacts to shortwave (SW) and longwave (LW) ultraviolet light resulting in a beautiful green and orange fluorescence. The colors are a lot more vivid under SW UV light (all pictures).
An uncommon "after glow" known as phosphorescence/photo-luminescence slowly fades away when the filtered black-light is removed (willemite in second photo), making this specimen very unique.
This specimen was photographed using a 36 watt shortwave ultraviolet lamp. The pictures have not been retouched.
You can decorate your space with this accent display piece or add it to your personal mineral collection. This specimen was self collected at Sterling Hill mine in Ogdensburg, NJ.
