This necklace features an awesome specimen of fluorescent salmon calcite and amethyst.
Calcite: white under daylight, fluoresces neon orange under SW/LW UV light.
Amethyst: purple under daylight, non fluorescing under UV light.
It has been wrapped in copper wire and hangs on a 16" brown vegan faux suede cord that can be extended to 19". It glows bright orange under shortwave UV black-light and longwave UV black-light, with shortwave being the most vibrant.
This specimen was photographed using a 36 watt shortwave ultraviolet lamp. The pictures have not been retouched.
The specimen was self collected from Sterling Hill Mine in New Jersey.
